Avi Zemel practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and complex commercial litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Avi served as a law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Avi is the Vice President of the Emory Miami Legal Network as well as an active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida.

Avi received his juris doctor, with honors, from Emory University School of Law in 2020. While in law school, he was a Managing Editor for the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. Additionally, Avi was a research assistant to Professors Fred Smith and Jonathan Nash, where he researched and drafted memoranda on legal ethics, conflict of laws, and laws relating to interring and abandoning human corpses. He earned his bachelor of arts in Political Science and Religious Studies, magna cum laude, from University of Miami in 2017.
