Maxine K. Streeter has more than 25 years of experience specializing in all areas of complex commercial litigation and class action litigation. Maxine has represented securities firms, brokers, banks, and customers in matters before the American Stock Exchange, Inc., National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., New York Stock Exchange, Inc., National Futures Association, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, and the American Arbitration Association. Additionally, her class action experience includes representing the Florida Department of Corrections, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Florida Department of Children and Families, and corporations.

Prior to joining the firm, Maxine was a partner at Conrad & Scherer, LLP, where she represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of civil cases in the areas of bankruptcy, civil theft, contracts, fraud, medical malpractice defense, negligence and negligent misrepresentation. During her tenure with the Office of the Attorney General, she served as Senior Assistant Attorney General, where she prosecuted businesses and individuals for unscrupulous business dealings involving civil theft, fraud, price gouging and deceptive trade practices. She also defended the constitutionality of laws signed by the governor and passed by the legislature as well as protected foster children rights through the implementation of statewide child welfare reforms.

Maxine holds an "AV" Preeminent® per review rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and is as an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad School of Law. Her professional activities include serving as the Stephen R. Booher American Inn of Court, Master of the Bench, and serving as an active member of the Broward County Women Lawyers' Association. Previously, she served on the City of Fort Lauderdale Citizen Police Review Board, and serves as an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. She was also an appointee for the Florida Bar, Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee "G" and for the 17th Judicial Circuit Professionalism Panel. Maxine is a frequent speaker on litigation topics and has co-authored, "Blue Sky Law: 1993 Survey of Florida Law," 18 Nova Law Review 45 (1993).

Maxine is committed to giving back to the community. She is a volunteer at PACE Broward Center for Girls, a statewide organization that helps at-risk girls achieve their potentials through education and counseling, and a volunteer for the Centennial Celebration for Fort Lauderdale High School. She is also an ardent supporter of the Wildlife Care Center and Broward County Animal Control, where she has rescued, fostered and placed many animals over the years.

Maxine is a member of The Florida Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, Federal Trial Bar. She received her juris doctor, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 1991 and earned her bachelor of arts from the University of Florida in 1985.
