Joseph B. Isenberg practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, franchise law, municipal law, and real estate litigation. He also has experience in complex personal injury and complex products liability cases.
Prior to private practice, Joseph worked as a student caseworker for the Washington and Lee Black Lung Legal Clinic in Lexington, VA, representing former U.S. coal miners suffering from Coal Worker’s Pneumoconiosis (Black Lung) in Federal Black Lung Benefits Act administrative claims. He also served as a law clerk for the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry, where he engaged in compliance enforcement litigation under the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) codes and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
Joseph has been recognized amongst the “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers of America.
Joseph is a member of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Young Ambassadors, a philanthropic organization dedicated to advocating for children’s issues in the community. He is an active member of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, Pretrial Practice & Discovery and is the chair for the Membership and Diversity Committee. He is also a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association and the Belen Jesuit Alumni Association.
Joseph is a member of The Florida Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida. He received his juris doctor from Washington and Lee School of Law, where he was the Hispanic National Bar Association Uvaldo Herrera Moot Court Competition National Champion and the Latin American Law Student Association (LALSA) president and Moot Court Coach. Joseph was also the Law News editor and the OUTLaw vice-president. He earned his bachelor of arts in history from the University of Florida in 2016.
